Is there a minimum group size?

For standard events, we currently ask for a minimum of six participants. If a booking falls below that, we can help you look at your options, which may include rescheduling, moving forward anyway, or discussing another setup.

Is the event rain or shine?

Yes. Our hunts are generally held rain or shine, so we recommend dressing for the weather and wearing comfortable shoes. In cases of more severe weather, especially major winter conditions, we can work with you on rescheduling.

What do we need to bring?

You really do not need much. A phone for your group, weather-appropriate clothing, and shoes you are comfortable walking in are usually enough.

Where does the scavenger hunt start?

Our events generally start at $3 Deweys in Portland’s Old Port. From there, we explain the game, get everyone started, and guide the experience from round to round.

How long does the hunt take?

Most standard hunts usually last about two hours. A common format is two 45-minute rounds with a score tally in between, though private events can be customized around your group and schedule.

Is the hunt private or public?

We offer standard bookable time slots, but private events are a big part of what we do. If you are planning a corporate outing, bachelor or bachelorette party, birthday, or another custom group event, contact us and we can shape the experience around your needs.

Can the event be customized?

Yes. We can tailor the hunt based on group size, timing, number of rounds, and the type of event you are planning.

Do we have to be 21 or older?

Only if you plan to drink. People under 21 are welcome on scavenger hunts.

What is your cancellation policy?

We currently ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel.

What if we have a large group?

We can work with large groups and custom events. Groups of 40 or more should get in touch directly so the event can be planned properly.
